¹⁷ Do not allow your heart to envy sinners,
    but always be zealous for the fear of the Lord;^[a]
18 there truly is a future for you,
    and your hope will not be cut short.
¹⁹ Listen, my son, and be wise
    as you direct your heart along the right path.
